New Baby Elephant Born

October 27th is an auspicious day of Zoological Garden (Nay Pyi Taw). Because, an elephant calf is born by male elephant called (MyaMaung) and female elephant called (NweNwe) on 5am early on that day.

Animal Feeding Program

For this reason, we introduce an “Animal Feeding Program” to all. It is such a good program from which you may get back in touch with animals when you participate in "Animal Feeding Program". Successful breeding of Burmese Star Tortoise

Burmese Star Tortoise is rare and critically endangared species.Those such specis were kept in Nay Pyi Taw Zoo for their conservation and breeding.Fortunately, seven tortoises hatched from No.1 pits that nested during October-February 2020.We are watching carefully their next incubation time.

Successful Breeding of Red-necked Wallaby

Red-necked wallabies are indigenous to Australia, which is one of the most significant wild animals of the zoo. Nay Pyi Taw Garden is in compatible with nature where they live, for that reason, they breed successful on 20-8-2020 and 10-9-2020 by two pairs, now they reach 6 months of age.In generally, they born only one young at a time after a gestation period. When young are born,they must crawl into their mother's pouch.Their life span is 15 years.
